Great regulation, potted electronics, unibody construction. It's spectacular and definitely qualifies as something that will last, it's built extremely well.

I have tons of budget lights and most of them are pretty great, but my one Zebralight (SC64w HI) is the one I carry with me probably 95% of the time I leave my apartment. I figured as much, that's why I suggested a Zebralight over a more budget light. I want something that will last and not fail. I don't mind spending money for quality gear.
EDC VERY HIGH LUMEN FLASHLIGHT PLUS
I think the Streamlight Wedge claims a 3 hour runtime on standard, but I’m guessing it’s more like 2 hours, which makes me wonder if their claims are all BS.Īny 5 inch or under 1000 plus lumen lights you guys would recommend? Something that can clip into a pocket and not feel like a brick, good throw is also a bonus as I walk my dog in a wooded area at night where it’s pitch black and often times run into other critters mostly skunks and occasionally coyotes.įigure I’d ask here as seems everyone knows their stuff, I’m sure it will just send me down a rabbit hole and turn into buying more and more like how my pocket knives collection started years ago lol. Both look decent and claim to have good output and are both relatively small. I’ve looked at both the Streamlight Wedge and Streamlight Protac 2L-X. I’d like something a bit nicer to go along with that. It’s a great light and good for work and a good size at a tad over 4 inches, but I would like something a bit brighter with more throw (1000 or above) that I can use as an EDC that looks decent as well, I am also a knife guy and carry either a double edge m390 steel Microtech Combat Troodon (142-4), Benchmade Osborne 9400 (green aluminum scale, S30v blade), or my Benchmade Mediator (black G10 scale, S90v blade). I am currently running AA batteries in the light, so actual output is more like 150 lumens.
